How long does a session last?
Each session lasts for 50 minutes online.
If there are technical issues we can continue the session on the telephone.
When do I pay?
Payments needs to be made prior to the session starting by at least 24 hours. I will send out the link when payment has been received.
What happens in the first session?
We will go over the contract which you will have signed to make sure everything has been understood. You are in control of what is talked about.
Do I have to come every week?
It is better at the beginning to attend sessions weekly. This allows us to build our relationship. But I know there can be a lot of different factors to think about so we can chat about it to get the best solution for you.
I haven’t had counselling before, what if I get it wrong?
There isn’t really any wrong or right in counselling as such. Of course if you come every week and talk about your favourite TV show then not much is going to happen. That being said, as we look at what makes it your favourite TV show and why you like the characters you do, you may discover thing about yourself along the way.
What happens if I don’t want to attend sessions anymore?
You can stop. You come to counselling because you choose to. I would suggest it is better to give a week or twos notice so we can end properly.
What happens if I can’t make it?
You are required to give 24 hours cancellation notice if you cannot attend the session. If you give less notice you will still be charged. There is an opportunity to find another time depending on availability.
In some circumstances payment may be carried over to the next session
